\"Rio\"Oliver Kugler<\/b> und Nikolai Senninger<\/b> kehren heute, zusammen mit den sieben weiteren Finalteilnehmern, zurück ins Hotel Intercontinental Rio de Janeiro. Kugler stammt ursprünglich aus Hamburg, lebt aber seit etwa vier Jahren in Rio. Ehrensache, dass er sich das erste Major in seiner neuen Heimat nicht entgehen lässt. Für ihn ist die Final Table Teilnahme der bisher größte Erfolg bei einem internationalem Pokerturnier. Das Gleiche gilt auch für den erst 18-jährigen Nikolai, der ebenfalls seine ersten Erfolg bei einem Major feiern darf.<\/p>

Zwei weiteren Deutschen gelang der Sprung in die bezahlten Plätze. Andreas Rieger<\/b> wurde 14. und erhielt dafür ein Preisgeld von $12.089. Dies dürfte auch unser Communitymitglied Nico \"behlinho\" Behling freuen. Unbestätigten Infortmationen nach hatte Nico ihn gestaked. Frank Ewald<\/b> schaffte genau den Sprung ins Geld und erhielt für seinen 32. Platz $7.693. Allerdings müssen die beiden, wie alle Gewinner, einen Teil ihres Gewinnes an den brasilianischen Staat abgeben.<\/p>

\"LAPT\"Auch ein Schweizer erreichte den Final Table. Severin Walser<\/b> konnte bereits bei der WSOP auf sich aufmerksam machen, als er beim $2.000 Seven Card Stud Event den vierten Platz belegte. Armin \"Schmette\" Mette musste leider vor der Bubble die Tische verlassen und sich an die Rails begeben.<\/p>

Der aus Costa Rica stammende, aber in Miami lebende, Alex Brenes<\/b> dürfte einer der Favoriten auf den Titel sein. Brenes ist bereits seit 1992 ein oft gesehener Gast bei den größten Pokerturnieren. Er cashte bereits über 20 mal bei der WSOP und hat auch einen WPT-Titel vorzuweisen. 2005 gewann er das World Poker Tour Invitational der L.A. Poker Classic. In den vergangenen beiden Jahren wurde es etwas ruigter um Brenes. Dennoch dürfte er der Spieler mit der größten Erfahrung am Tisch sein.<\/p>
