Luu war als Chipleader in das Finale gestartet. Bis zum Heads-Up holte Lawrence auf, und die beiden Kontrahenten gingen mit ungefähr den gleichen Chipcounts ins Finale der letzten Zwei.<\/p>

Auf dem Board von konnte Luu sich einen großen Pot sichern. Auf den verschiedenen Streets gab es von beiden Spielern viel Action. Nach dem River-Bet von Luu überlegte Lawrence lange - zu lange, um noch zu callen. Luu gewann so den Pot ohne Showdown und brachte sich mit 2:1 in Chips in Führung.
\nKurze Zeit später holte sich Luu einen weiteren Monsterpot mit dem Nut-Flush, und Lawrence fiel unter 600.000 Chips zu Luus 2 Mio.<\/p>

In der entscheidenden Hand raiste Luu Preflop und Lawrence callte. Der Flop kam , Lawrence checkte und Luu contibettete. Lawrence raiste, Luu reraiste und beide Spieler waren All-In. Lawrence zeigte , und Luu deckte auf. Auf dem Turn kam die , der River brachte Luu das Full House mit dem .<\/p>

Für Luu war es ein verdienter Sieg. Er überzeugte besonders an der Bubble durch aggressives Spiel und sicherte sich somit am zweiten Tag den Chiplead. Bei der WSOP 2007 wurde er Zweiter im $2.000 Omaha Hi\/Lo Split Event, damals wurde er nur knapp von Frankie O'Dell geschlagen.<\/p>
