\nKurze Turniertage: 7-5-7<\/b>\n<\/p>

\nEvent 11 zeichnete sich vor allem durch kurze Turniertage aus. Begünstigt wurde ein rasches Vorankommen durch die Shorthanded-Tische und die Shootout-Struktur. Bei der Shootout-Struktur wird jeder Tisch bis auf den letzten Spieler heruntergespielt. Die Sieger der jeweiligen Tische formatieren dann neue Tische, bis mit den letzten Siegern der Final Table besetzt wird.\n<\/p>

\n
\nAn Tag 1 benötigte Tom für seinen Tisch gerade einmal sieben Stunden. An Tag 2 konnte er seinen Tisch sogar in nur fünf Stunden hinter sich lassen. Den letzten Turniertag gewann er in sieben Stunden - eine Stunde Dinner-Break inclusive.<\/p>

\nHarte Gegner<\/b>\n<\/p>

\nTom hatte dabei eine schwere Route durch das Turnier. Am ersten Tag musste er sich unter anderem gegen Cort Kibler Melby behaupten. An Tag 2 gehörten Bill Blanda, Remy Biechel und Ariel Schneller zu seinen Gegenspielern. Am Final Table musste er sich gegen die Youngguns Greg 'FBT' Mueller und Tim 'Tmay420' West durchsetzen.<\/p>

\nHeads-Up: Tom und Mueller<\/b>\n<\/p>

\nZwischen Tom und Mueller kam es schließlich zum Heads-Up. Es sollte 17 Hände dauern. Philip Tom war mit einem kleinen Vorsprung ins Finale der letzten Zwei gestartet.
\nAuf einem 3-suited Flop sicherte sich Tom kampflos einen großen Pot: Tom limpte in Hand 162 aus dem Small Blind rein, Greg Mueller raiste auf 225.000, und Tom callte. Der Flop kam , und Mueller checkte nur. Tom setzte 225.000, Müller check-raiste auf 650.000, und Tom pushte All-In. Mueller foldete und Tom hatte den deutlichen Chiplead errungen.\n<\/p>

\nDie Entscheidung: Hand 176<\/b>\n<\/p>

In der 176. Hand sollte die Entscheidung fallen. Greg Mueller limpte herein, und Tom checkte im Big Blind. Der Flop brachte , und beide checkten nur. Der Turn kam , und Tom bettete 150.000. Mueller raiste ihn auf 350.000. Nach einiger Bedenkzeit setzte ihn Tom All-In. Mueller callte sofort und zeigte zum Toppair. Tom deckte auf - er hatte ebenfalls Toppair getroffen.
