Bei Blinds von 40.000\/80.000 hatte er nur noch rund 95.000 Chips vor sich - und somit nur marginal mehr als einen Big Blind. Doch Martin startete nicht nur eine furiose Aufholjagd, sondern setzte sich am Ende des Tages auf Platz 1 des &pound;5.000 No Limit Hold'em Turniers und sicherte sich somit <i>&pound;<\/i>1.000.000.<\/p><p>\n<b>Die furiose Aufholjagd des Michael Martins<\/b>\n<\/p><p>Zun&auml;chst verdoppelte Martin zwei Mal kurz nacheinander. Anschlie&szlig;end eliminierte er den langfristigen Chipleader Eric Liu, wodurch er erstmals selbst zum f&uuml;hrenden avancierte. Von hier an dominierte der junge Amerikaner das Geschehen am Final Table fast nach Belieben. Bevor die Entscheidung fiel, wiederholte sich das Spielchen noch zwei weitere Male.<\/p><p>Bei fast gleichen Chipcounts zeigte das Board <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/Jh.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/Ts.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/6h.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\"> und der Schwede feuerte eine erste Barrel ab, die der Amerikaner callte. Der Turn brachte die <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/3s.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\"> und der Schwede feuerte eine weitere Barrel. Auf dem River kam der <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/Jd4.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\"> und Tureniec bettete weitere 680k in den 1,2 Mio.-Pot. Nach langem &uuml;berlegen callte Martin und zeigte eine Zehn zum Pair. Der Schwede deckte Q-High auf und hatte somit nur Luft. 2,6 Mio. Chips gingen an Martin, der hiernach rund 4,3 Mio. zu 1,7 Mio. Chips hielt.<\/p><p>Wenig sp&auml;ter fand Martin Pocket-Vieren und setzte den Schweden all-in. Dieser callte mit <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/Kh.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/oldresources\/de\/PICS\/news\/Deck\/9c4.png\" align=\"absmiddle\" height=\"13\" width=\"24\">. Eine Vier auf dem Turn brachte dem Amerikaner das Set Vieren und besiegelte das Ergebnis - Martin wurde Sieger der EPT London 2008.<\/p><p>\n<b>Stra&szlig;mann Siebter<\/b>\n<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstrategy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/cdn-origin\/images\/johannes_strassmann.gif\" alt=\"Johannes Stra&szlig;mann\" title=\"Johannes Stra&szlig;mann\" align=\"right\" height=\"70\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"2\" width=\"104\">Der letzte Deutsche im Turnier, Johannes Stra&szlig;mann, musste sich mit Platz 7 begn&uuml;gen.
