Trifft man immer auf dieselben Spieler, sind es Regulars – und man selbst vielleicht auch<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Heute widmen wir uns in einem Anfängerartikel einem Begriff, der beim Poker ständig verwendet wird, für neue Spieler aber vielleicht etwas unverständlich sein kann. So geht es heute um den sogenannten 'Regular'.<\/p>

Auch die meisten Anfänger wissen, was es bedeutet, ein Fisch oder Shark zu sein. Zu erraten was mit einem Donkey gemeint ist, dürfte auch nicht allzu schwer sein. Den Begriff Regular verwenden wir ebenfalls oft, um einen Pokerspieler zu bezeichnen, er ist aber nicht immer ganz eindeutig. Das ist auch kein Wunder, denn bei diesem Begriff kommt es auch auf den Kontext an.<\/p>

Ein Regular oder 'Reg' ist der Name für jene Spieler, die immer wieder in denselben Partien zu finden sind.<\/strong> Seht ihr also einen Spieler jeden Tag bestimmte 6-max-SNGs spielen, so ist er ein Regular – und ihr selbst vielleicht auch. Ein Regular kann auch ein Reg in einem bestimmten Casino oder Online-Pokerraum sein.<\/p>

Das steht im Gegensatz zu anderen Spielern, die vielleicht ständig neue Räume und Formate ausprobieren, dabei handelt es sich oft um Freizeitspieler, oder überall nur auf der Suche nach den besten Partien sind.<\/p>

Man kann darüber diskutieren, ob ein bestimmter Regular gut oder schlecht ist. Dennoch kann man davon ausgehen, dass ein Regular bis zu einem gewissen Grad fachkundig auf seinem Gebiet ist<\/strong>. Man kann annehmen, dass er lange Sessions spielt und sich zumindest grundlegend mit der gespielten Variante und den neuesten Trends in dieser auskennt. Ist jemand ein SNG-Regular, sollte man davon ausgehen , dass er etwas über ICM weiß und nicht ständig mit nur noch 10 Big Blinds an der Bubble limpt. Auch Kenntnisse über Betsizes und Wissen über den allgemeinen Spielerpool sollten vorhanden sein. Nicht zuletzt durch das Verwenden von Software wie PokerTracker.<\/p>

Erkennt man einen Regular, sollte man seine Spielweise anpassen. Außerdem sollte man sich auch Gedanken darüber machen, wie man selbst in der Vergangenheit gegen ihn gespielt hat und Pläne für die Zukunft schmieden. Schließlich wird auch er sich überlegen, wie ihr<\/em> eigentlich spielt.<\/p>

Ob ein 'Reg' zu sein auch gleich bedeutet, dass man gut ist, ist fraglich<\/strong>. Manche nutzen den Begriff für Spieler, die ihrer Meinung nach nur auf der Stelle treten. Andere meinen wiederum Spieler, gegen die man nicht zu unkontrolliert spielen sollte, weil diese eben wissen, was man tut. Manche machen sich es aber leichter und nennen einen Spieler einfach einen guten bzw. schlechten Reg:<\/p>

Wichtig zu wissen ist letztlich, dass ein Regular ein erfahrener Spieler ist, der sich mit den Strategien und Varianten auskennt, die er spielt. Normalerweise fängt man auch nicht an von 'Regulars' zu sprechen, bis man selbst einer ist.<\/p>
