Schon im Vorfeld sorgte der Cup für eine verbale Konfrontation, losgetreten von Eddy Scharf. Der wird nun trotzt anfänglicher Zweifel in einem Team mit Jens Voertmann, Andreas Krause und Thomas Bihl zum Nationscup antreten. Grund genug, schon einmal eine erste Salve Richtung der österreichischen Pokerkollegen zu feuern:<\/p>

\"Eddy“[…] Mein Hauptaugenmerk gilt aber dem kleinen Bergvölkchen um Rapp, Kollmann, Stockinger und Golser. Ich denke wir werden Spass haben, und auch wenn unsere österreichischen Freunde letztendlich chancenlos sind werden wir anschließend an der Bar uns wieder vertragen. Vielleicht ist auch Harry Casagrande dabei, dann werden wir sicher mehr an der Bar sein als am Tisch.“<\/i><\/p>

\"Erich“Der Pensonisten Opa aus Köln schießt wieder mit “scharfer Munition”. Noch hat ihm keiner geflüstert, dass hier nicht das Supertalent der scharfen Worte gesucht wird. Es wird keine Jury mit Dieter Bohlen und Sylvie van der Vaart geben. Die Gegner werden nicht jonglieren und auch nicht auf der Mundharmonika spielen. Keine Kinder mit unglaublichen Stimmen und kein Trapezkünstler mit Suspensorium als Schutz. Die Gegner sind Männer, richtige Männer. Sie alle wollen nur das Eine: Sieg im Nationencup!“<\/i><\/p>

Erstmals im vergangenen Jahr in Bregenz ausgetragen, gehört
\nder Nationscup schon in seinem zweiten Jahr zu den Höhepunkten im deutschsprachigen
\nPokerkalender.

\nDie Spielregeln<\/b>\n<\/p>

Maximal neun Teams zu je vier Spielern teilen sich das Buy-in von €10.000. Dabei besteht jedes Team aus einem Kapitän und drei weiteren Spielern derselben Nationalität. Pro Nation dürfen maximal zwei Teams antreten.

\nDer Spielmodus <\/b>\n<\/p>

\"Christmas
\nJeder Teilnehmer spielt ein Sit&Go in Limit Seven Card Stud, Pot Limit Omaha und No Limit Hold’em. Je besser ein Spieler sich in diesen Vorrunden-Heats platziert, desto mehr Punkte bekommt sein Team gutgeschrieben. Diese Punkte werden später für das Finale in Chips umgerechnet. Im Finale, welches in No Limit Hold’em gespielt wird, bestimmt der Kapitän die Spieler und darf dabei dreimal wechseln.
