Den besten Tag der zahlreich angetretenen Pros erlebte Daniel Negreanu. Nach sechs gespielten Blindlevels konnte er sich an Platz zwei des Chipcounts setzen. Insgesamt überlebten 412 Spieler die ersten sechs Level und somit den ersten Tag der WPT L.A. Poker Classic. Den Chiplead sicherte sich Kasey Nam. Direkt hinter Negreanu befinden sich Jeff Madsen und Bertrand 'Elky' Grospellier. Phil Ivey folgt auf dem siebten Platz.
