$1.000.000 konnte Brandon Cantu letztes Jahr gewinnen und dominierte das Bay 101 Shootingstar Event dabei von Anfang an. Nun treffen sich einige der bekanntesten und besten Pokerspieler erneut im Bay 101 Cardroom, um einen weiteren WPT-Titelträger zu küren.<\/p>

Allein am Final Table des Vorjahres saßen unter den sechs verbliebenen Spielern mit John Phan, Steve Sung und Jennifer Harman wahrlich keine Unbekannten am Tisch. Beim Bay 101 Shootingstar ist dabei das Besondere, dass sich die Stars besonders vorsehen müssen. Auf einige ausgewählte Spieler ist ein Kopfgeld von $5.000 ausgesetzt, die derjenige erhält, der einen der Ausgewählten aus dem Turnier wirft.<\/p>

Am 16. März um 10:45 Uhr Ortszeit (18:45 Uhr MEZ) wird der erste von zwei Starttagen beginnen und dabei rund 200 Spieler erwartet, die das Buy-in von $9.500 + $500 bezahlen. Insgesamt werden sich ungefähr 400 Teilnehmer in San Jose blicken lassen.<\/p>

Unter den Teilnehmern wird sich aller Voraussicht nach auch unser neues Communitymitglied und Videoproduzent jonathanlittle befinden, der im Interview<\/a> mit PokerStrategy verlauten ließ, dass er alle WPT-Turniere dieser Saison spielen wolle. Little hat bereits zwei WPT-Titel in seiner Sammlung und könnte mit drei Titeln zum erfolgreichsten WPT-Spieler neben Gus Hansen werden.<\/p>

Das Turnier wird fünf Tage ausgetragen. Am 20. März steht ein neuer WPT-Gewinner fest. Mit dem letztjährigen Gewinner der WPT Bay 101 Shootingstar Championship Brandon Cantu wurde kurz nach seinem Sieg ein Interview geführt, welches ihr euch hier noch einmal angucken könnt:<\/p>
