Varianz kann brutal sein<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Mir wird häufig die Frage gestellt, wie man während eines Downswings die Varianz reduzieren kann.<\/p>

Beliebte Strategien reichen vom Reduzieren der Tischanzahl bis hin zum Wechsel auf niedrigere Stakes<\/a> – beides kann durchaus dabei helfen, stürmische Zeiten besser zu überstehen.<\/p>

Meine persönliche Empfehlung lautet, auf Turniere mit kleineren Feldern<\/a> umzusteigen. Varianzrechner untermauern diesen Vorschlag empirisch, doch die wahren Vorteile sind für mich vor allem psychologischer Natur.<\/p>

Durch das Spielen in überschaubaren Feldern sammelt man regelmäßig wertvolle Erfahrungen in den entscheidenden Phasen eines Turniers. Diese Praxis schärft das Spielgefühl und bereitet euch optimal auf den nächsten Deep Run in einem größeren Event vor.<\/p>

Meine ersten Online-Turniere waren klassische Sit & Gos. Als ich begann, mich an größere MTTs zu wagen, fühlte ich mich an der Bubble und am Final Table erstaunlich sicher, weil ich durch unzählige SNGs ein gutes ICM-Gespür entwickelt hatte. Mit der Zeit konzentrierte ich mich vollständig auf Turniere mit riesigen Teilnehmerfeldern.<\/p>

Ein prägender Moment war das Erreichen eines großen Final Tables nach monatelanger Durststrecke: Ich agierte unsicher, weil mir schlichtweg die Routine fehlte. Daraufhin beschloss ich, wieder vermehrt kleinere Turniere zu spielen, selbst wenn die Winrate dort geringer war. Auf diese Weise konnte ich die nötige Erfahrung sammeln, um in den entscheidenden Turnierphasen die bestmögliche Leistung abzurufen.<\/p>

Eine ausgewogene Mischung aus großen und kleinen Feldern ist ideal, dennoch lässt sich das Verhältnis flexibel an die aktuelle Form anpassen.<\/p>

Wie stark Downswings jemanden treffen, spielt ebenfalls eine Rolle: Manche Profis verzichten komplett auf Turniere mit großen Feldern, weil sie die Varianz einfach zu sehr belastet.<\/p>
