\"WPTDie World Poker Tour macht in Borgata Halt und wartet mit einem Rekord auf: Erstmals registrierten sich über 1.000 Spieler für ein WPT-Turnier. Dass ein solcher Rekord aufgestellt werden konnte, liegt wohl am vergünstigten Buy-in: $3.500 hatten die Spieler zu bezahlen und sorgten mit ihrem Andrang für einen vollen Erfolg des Turnieres.<\/p>

Einen Preispool von $2 Millionen hatten die Verantwortlichen der WPT Borgata Poker Open garantiert, $3.359.400 befinden sich nun im Pool. Die ersten 100 Plätze werden bezahlt und der Sieger wird mit $925.514 nach Hause gehen können.<\/p>

Jonathan Little erreicht Tag 2
\n<\/h2>

An Tag 1A waren 326 Spieler an den Start gegangen und lediglich 168 von ihnen schaften es durch den Tag. Chino Rheem erwischte dabei einen großartigen Start und war der inoffizielle Chipleader vor der Dinner Break, doch nach dem Dinner lief er zwei Mal in Quads, sodass sein Höhenflug jäh gestoppt und er an die Rails geschickt worden war.<\/p>

Ray Hensons Turnier begann dabei ähnlich verheißungsvoll wie das von Rheem und Henson hatte bereits im zweiten Blindlevel seinen Stack von 30.000 auf über 100.000 ausbauen können. Im weiteren Verlauf des Tages sollte es dabei für ihn ungleich besser laufen, sodass er eine gute Ausgangsposition für Tag 2 inne hält.<\/p>

\"JonathanAuch jonathanlittle (Bild rechts) und Michael Binger erlebten einen guten Tag und fanden sich in der Top 10 der Chipleader nach Tag 1A wieder. Dwyte Pilgrim, Alex Bolotin, Amnon Filippi, Cornel Andrew Cimpan, Eric
\nBaldwin und J.C. Tran waren nicht so erfolgreich und sind bereits allesamt ausgeschieden.<\/p>

An Tag 1B füllten 692 Spieler das Casino, unter ihnen auch Gavin Smith, der den Tag mit einem Stack knapp über Average beenden konnte. Jason Young, Ted Lawson, Tommy Vedes,
\nMatt Stout und Mike Vela mussten sich bereits verabschieden, ehe der Tag zu Ende gegangen war.<\/p>
