Hellmuth als Feldherr<\/h2>

\"Hellmuth<\/a>Tag 1a des Main Events ging bereits heute Nacht zu Ende und natürlich wollen wir euch das bisherige Geschehen nicht vorenthalten. Jeff Lisandro nahm unter anderem seinen Preis für den Titel des \"Player of the Year\" entgegen, der es ihm erlaubt, für drei Jahre kostenlos am Main Event der WSOP in Las Vegas teilzunehmen. Die Ehre der Turniereröffnung kam der Pokerlegende Doyle Brunson zuteil, der das Londoner Main Event mit den bekannten Worten \"Shuffle-up and Deal\" eröffnete.<\/p>

Die größte Aufmerksamkeit zog derweil Phil Hellmuth auf sich. Wie bereits bei der WSOP in Las Vegas kam der Poker Brat als römischer Feldherr verkleidet ins Casino. Begleitet wurde er während seines Einmarsches in einem Streitwagen von einer Gruppe Legionäre und ganz in weiß gekleideten Konkubinen.<\/p>

Mit voller Ausrüstung nahm Hellmuth so am TV-Table Platz. Doyle Brunson lockte die ganze Geschichte nur ein müdes Lächeln aufs Gesicht und es war dem Vater aller Pokerspieler anzusehen, dass er der ganzen Inszenierung eher skeptisch gegenüberstand.<\/p>

Tag 1a: Chipcounts<\/h2>

Gepokert wurde natürlich auch und nach zwölf Stunden Spiel setzte sich Brian Powell aus Louisville mit etwas mehr als 194.000 Chips auf Platz 1. Insgesamt waren 156 Spieler gestartet. 75 Spieler schafften es einen Tag weiter. Der Average liegt bei etwa 64.000. Der Ausgangsstack betrug 30.000 Chips.<\/p>

Unter den Survivorn von Tag 1a befinden sich noch einige bekannte Namen. So schafften es unter anderem Doyle und Todd Brunson, Jason Mercier, Eric Seidel und auch Phil Hellmuth in Tag 2. Doch auch die Rails waren mit Prominenten gespickt. So mussten Vanessa Rousso, Phil Ivey, Huck Seed und Roland de Wolfe das frühzeitige Aus hinnehmen.<\/p>

Von den deutschsprachigen Profis schafften es die EPT Dortmund-Gewinnerin Sandra Naujoks, der Österreicher Markus Golser und Konstantin Bücherl in den zweiten Tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
