Die vier jüngsten Spieler, die den Final Table bei der PokerStars<\/a>.com European Poker Tour Deauville in Angriff genommen hatten, machten die vorderen Platzierungen unter sich aus. Jake Cody und Teodor Caraba, beide 21 Jahre alt, beendeten das Turnier auf den Plätzen eins und zwei. Mike McDonald und Craig Bergeron, beide 20 Jahre alt und damit nicht alt genug, um in Vegas zu spielen, bekleideten Rang drei, respektive vier.<\/div>

Peter Eastgate erstes Opfer

Team PokerStars-Pro Peter Eastgate war, trotz seines jungen Alters von 24 Jahren, der berühmteste Spieler am Tisch. Er begann am Final Table als Shortstack, startete jedoch stark in den Tag und schaffte es, den letzten Platz zu verlassen. Allerdings hatte er weiterhin kein Glück und wurde eliminiert, als sein Gegenüber einen Drei-Outer am Flop traf. So blieb ihm letztlich lediglich der achte Platz. <\/p>

Eastgates Teammitglied, Bertrand \"ElkY\" Grospellier, zeigte ebenfalls eine überzeugende Leistung und verpasste den offiziellen Finaltisch denkbar knapp um einen Platz. In der letzten Hand des vierten Turniertages lief ElkY<\/i> mit  in Teodor Carabas \"Ad\"\"As\". Das Board bescherte ihm keine Hilfe und so musste ElkY <\/i>sich mit Platz neun begnügen.<\/p><\/div>

Cody am Rande des Abgrunds

Bei noch sechs verbliebenen Spielern hatte Cody, ein ehemaliger Psychologiestudent aus Großbritannien, einen herben Rückschlag hinzunehmen. Er verlor gegen Mike McDonald beinahe 80% seines Stacks, als er mit \"Tc\"\"Th\" All-in gegangen war. McDonald hielt \"Ad\"\"Kd\" und gewann den Coinflip, sodass er mehr als ein Drittel aller im Spiel befindlichen Chips an sich nehmen konnte.<\/div>\n

Trotz des tiefen Falls auf gerade einmal 1,15 Millionen Chips kam Cody stark zurück und war in der Lage, zwei Spieler zu eliminieren, ehe es zum Heads-up mit Caraba kam.<\/p><\/div>

Caraba hielt zu Beginn des Heads-ups einen Zwei-zu-eins-Chiplead, doch Cody schlug sich wacker und übernahm schließlich selbst die Führung. Nach knapp zwei Stunden Spielzeit konnte Cody letztendlich seinen Sieg feiern, als er mit \"Kc\"\"Kd\" gegen Carabas \"Ad\"\"Kh\" antrat. Trotz aller Bemühungen der Anhängerschaft Carabas, ein Ass herbeizurufen, kam keines zum Vorschein und dem Rumänen blieb nur Platz zwei vergönnt.<\/div>
