Während man von diesen bekannten Namen einiges erwartete, schaffte es ein anderer, durch hervorragende Leistungen in der Premier League auf sich aufmerksam zu machen: Phil Laak.<\/p>

\"PhilLaak (Bild rechts) konnte die beiden ersten Heats der Vorrunde gewinnen und liegt somit komfortabel vor dem Rest des Feldes in Führung.<\/p>

Im ersten Heat besiegte er den Titelverteidiger J.C. Tran und auch im zweiten Heat stand Laak am Ende ganz oben, nachdem er dieses Mal schlussendlich Roland De Wolfe besiegen konnte.<\/p>

Durch diese Leistung hat Laak nun 32 Punkte und $64.000 an Preisgeld gewonnen. Im dritten Heat konnte sich David Benyamine durchsetzen und liegt dadurch in der Gesamtwertung auf dem zweiten Platz mit 8 Punkten Rückstand auf Phil Laak.<\/p>
