Die World Poker Tour Spanish Championship fand vom 19. bis zum 23. Mai im Casino von Barcelona statt. 326 Spieler hatten sich zu dem 3.200€ + 300€ Turnier angemeldet und generierten somit einen Gesamtpreispool in Höhe von über 1 Million Euro.<\/p>

Tekintamgacs zweites Major Live-Event überhaupt<\/h2>

36 von ihnen erreichten die Geldränge. Ali Tekintamgac aus Deutschland gelang dabei der ganz große Wurf: Nachdem er mit einer 5:1-Führung (4.100.000 zu 800.000) in das Heads-up ging, gelang es ihm, Roberto Santiago in kurzer Zeit zu besiegen. <\/p>

In der finalen Hand des Turniers ging Santiago mit \"9d\"\"8h\" Preflop All-in und erhielt von Tekintamgac mit \"5c\"\"Qc\" den Call. Das Board brachte \"Kh\"\"Ah\"\"5h\"\"Qd\"\"2d\" und somit zwei Paare für den Deutschen, der nach dieser Hand um €315.000 reicher war. Außerdem erhält er einen Seat für das WPT Finale in Las Vegas sowie ein Bracelet von Tiffanys.<\/p>

In einem Interview mit PartyPoker verriet Tekintamgac, dass die WPT Barcelona erst sein zweites großes Live-Event nach der EPT Monte Carlo war. Dort wurde er 125. und gewann 15.000€.<\/p>
