En juegos donde se fija el orden en el que hablan los jugadores con respecto al dealer (repartidor<\/a>), la middle position (posiciones intermedias) son aquellas que se encuentran hacia la mitad de la mesa<\/a> con respecto al dealer. En una mesa<\/a> con diez jugadores en Texas Hold'em<\/a>, por ejemplo, la sexta, séptima y octava posición<\/a> serían las posiciones intermedias, también denominadas MP,MP2,MP3. Los jugadores en esas posiciones deben luchar contra la desventaja posicional con respecto a los que hablan detrás de ellos, aunque tienen posición<\/a> sobre los jugadores de primeras posiciones<\/a> y podrán conocer la acción de estos antes de hablar ellos.<\/p>
