\nEl cuarto día era el momento de la definición para el LAPT Playa
\nConchal. Este hermoso paraíso en Costa Rica fue escenario de tres
\njornadas de intensa acción y buen poker y, como detallábamos en nuestro
\nartículo de ayer<\/a>, los ocho finalistas estaban preparados para la
\nbatalla decisiva.\n

La mesa final presentó una llamativa presencia de jugadores
\ncanadienses: cinco en total, incluyendo a Amer Sulaiman<\/b>, nacido en Irak
\ny quien resultaría finalmente ganador del torneo<\/b>.<\/p>\n

El nivel de ciegas inicial era de 10.000\/20.000 con ante de 2.000 y,
\nhabiendo algunos stacks de veinte o menos ciegas grandes, apenas se
\nnecesitaron dos niveles más para producirse la primera eliminación.<\/p>\n

De Koster, uno de los shortstacks, pusheó desde posición media y la
\nmesa foldeó hasta Levesque en la ciega grande, quien pagó rápidamente
\npara revelar \"Qs\"\"Qh\". Patrick De Koster <\/b>estaba en problemas con su \"Ad\" \"7s\" y,
\ndespués de que el board se completara \"9s\"\"7d\"\"5s\"\"Jh\"\"Ks\", quedó eliminado en el
\n8º lugar<\/b> para recibir un premio de $13.818<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Más tarde caería Carlos Girón, dejando a un único representante
\nlatinoamericano en la mesa. El jugador de Guatemala hizo open-shove<\/i>
\ndesde posición media y todos foldearon hasta Sol Bergren en la ciega
\ngrande, quien se tomó un minuto para pensar antes de decidir finalmente
\nel call.<\/p>\n

Bergren enseñó \"Qc\"\"Jc\" y Girón llevaba una ligera ventaja con \"Ah\"\"9s\". El
\nboard, sin embargo, resultó desfavorable para el stack menor,
\ncompletándose \"Qd\"\"Ts\"\"6c\"\"Td\"\"5d\" y Carlos Girón <\/b>terminaba su participación en
\nel 7º puesto<\/b>, premiado con $20.098<\/b>. En ese momento, cinco de los seis
\njugadores restantes eran de nacionalidad canadiense.<\/p>\n

Inmediatamente después, la mesa se redujo a cinco participantes. Darren
\nKeyes, corto en fichas, se anunció directamente all in desde UTG y Amer
\nSulaiman resubió all in detrás suyo. El resto de la mesa foldeó y ambos
\njugadores enseñaron sus cartas. Keyes llevaba \"Ah\"\"7h\", dominado por el \"As\"\"Kd\" de Sulaiman. El flop le fue favorable de todos modos, cayendo \"8d\"\"7d\"\"6c\" pero, tras un insignificante \"3c\" en el turn, el river trajo
\nuna \"Kc\" y Darren Keyes <\/b>tuvo que conformarse con los $26.380<\/b>
\ncorrespondientes al 6º puesto<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Antes de la siguiente eliminación, hubo una breve discusión entre los
\ncompatriotas Eric Levesque y Amer Sulaiman, quien le pedía al primero
\nque no hablara mientras otros jugadores estuvieran involucrados en una
\nmano. Por si no leyeron nuestro artículo de ayer<\/a>, a Levesque parece
\ngustarle tanto conversar en la mesa como jugar poker. Bueno, seamos
\nsinceros: no lo conocemos lo suficiente como para asegurar que le guste
\ntanto jugar poker.<\/p>\n

Con las ciegas cada vez más altas, había tres de los cinco jugadores
\nrestantes bastante apurados por doblarse. Bouchard, con el segundo
\nmenor stack, se anunció all in y fue pagado por el líder Amer Sulaiman
\ncon pareja de ases en su poder. Francis-Nicolas Bouchard<\/b> enseñó \"Kh\"\"9c\" y,
\naunque el flop \"Kc\"\"Tc\"\"Js\" le dio esperanzas, no consiguió ayuda suficiente
\nen el turn \"6d\" ni en el river \"Ad\", quedando eliminado del torneo en el 5º
\nlugar<\/b>, por el cual recibió una recompensa de $32.660<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Luego se produciría la mayor mano del torneo, en la cual Sol Bergren
\nrecuperó el liderato silenciando (quiero decir, eliminando) a su
\ncompatriota Eric Levesque. Bergren abrió con una subida a 120.000 y la
\nacción le llegó a Levesque, quien comentó \"me siento más que bien<\/i>\",
\nresubiendo a 700.000. En la mano anterior Levesque había realizado
\nexactamente el mismo movimiento frente a una idéntica subida del mismo
\nrival. \"All in<\/i>\" respondió Bergren después de mirar otra vez sus cartas.<\/p>\n

Levesque pagó y enseñó \"Ac\"\"Qd\", para ir al un coinflip <\/i>frente a Bergren
\ncon \"8d\"\"8c\". El board se completó \"Jh\"\"5d\"\"4s\"\"3c\"\"7h\" y Eric Levesque<\/b> salió
\neliminado en el 4º puesto<\/b>, llevándose un premio de $45.221<\/b>.<\/p>\n

En la siguiente mano se produjo otra caída y todo quedó listo para el
\ncara a cara final. Rogelio Pardo<\/b>, la esperanza local y el último  representante
\nlatinoamericano, se fue all in desde primera posición y, aunque Sulaiman
\nfoldeó en la ciega pequeña, Sol Bergren le pagó en la ciega grande,
\nrevelando \"5s\"\"5c\". Pardo estaba en problemas con \"Ac\"\"3h\" y no pudo evitar la
\neliminación al descubrirse el board \"Kc\"\"8d\"\"6c\"\"4c\"\"5h\". El costarricense cobró
\n$61.551<\/b> por conseguir el 3º puesto<\/b> en este torneo.<\/p>\n

Bergren iniciaba el heads up con leve ventaja de 2.905.000 a 2.280.000
\npero Sulaiman golpearía primero, colocándose al frente en el conteo de
\nfichas.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Sulaiman iba a llevarse el primer bote grande, logrando
\nuna ventaja importante e iba a mantenerse al frente hasta el momento de
\nla definición.<\/p>\n

Bergren limpeó desde el botón y Sulaiman se dio check. El flop vino \"Th\"\"5s\"\"4c\" y el líder se dio check, dejando la iniciativa a Bergren, que
\napostó 90.000. Sulaiman resubió a 400.000 y Bergren fue all in por casi
\n600.000, revelando \"7s\"\"6s\" para proyecto a escalera abierta luego del call
\nde Sulaiman, quien volteó \"Td\"\"7h\" para top pair. El turn fue un \"Ac\" y,
\ncuando el river cayó \"Qh\", el torneo encontró a su ganador.<\/p>\n

Sol Bergren<\/b> recibió un premio de $100.492<\/b> finalizando como runner up<\/b><\/i>,
\nmientras que Amer Sulaiman<\/b> se consagró Campeón del LAPT Playa Conchal<\/b>,
\nobteniendo el primer premio de $172.095<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
