\nEl jugador británico Jake Cody<\/b> acaba de coronarse Campeón del EPT Deauville<\/b>, venciendo en el heads up<\/i> al rumano Teodor Caraba para reclamar el primer premio de €847.000<\/b>.\n

Las
\ndos jornadas finales presentaron acción muy intensa y un nivel de juego
\nmuy alto, lo cual no es ninguna sorpresa si considerando los nombres de los
\n24 finalistas. El rumano Teodor Caraba comenzaba como líder y logró mantener ese privilegio en el momento de romperse la burbuja y quedar
\nconfirmada la mesa final.<\/p>\n

El célebre \"bubble boy<\/i>\" para esa instancia tan importante no fue otro que la estrella local Bertrand \"ElkY<\/i>\"
\nGrospellier, quien cayó eliminado cuando su A-Q se estrelló frente a
\nlos Ases de Caraba, finalizando en el 9º lugar con un premio de €51.500<\/b>.<\/p>\n

David \"Gorrioncillo<\/i>\"
\nGómez era la última esperanza de España, pero su carrera se interrumpió antes de la mesa final. Quizá mereció mejor suerte, ya que
\nsu salida se podujo gracias a un verdadero bad beat. En medio de una
\nguerra de ciegas con el canadiense Mike \"Timex<\/i>\" McDonald, Gómez
\nresubió sobre el open raise de este último, generando un 4bet all in.
\nEl español pagó de inmediato con 7-7 y se vio bien por delante de su
\nrival que mostró 4-4. Sin embargo, el flop le dio a Mc Donald el 4
\nnecesario para formar set y \"Gorrioncillo<\/i>\" terminaba su marcha en el 16º lugar, cobrando €22.000<\/b>. <\/p>\n

Una
\npena sobre todo por el modo de salir, pero sin dudas es un buen momento
\nel que atraviesa este jugador, que viene de obtener algunos buenos
\nresultados, como un triunfo en el Super Tuesday de PokerStars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nEl primero en abandonar la mesa final fue Peter Eastgate<\/a>,
\ncuando su 10-10 fue batido por Craig Bergeron, quien se aisló con K-9 y
\nconsiguió un Rey en el flop para relegar al ex campeón mundial WSOP al
\n8º puesto por el cual recibió €70.000<\/b>. \n<\/p>

\nMás adelante saldrían eliminados Michael Fratty, Stephane Albertini, Claudius Secara
\ny Craig Bergeron. Con sólo tres jugadores disputando el título, Mike Mc
\nDonald era quien presentaba las mayores credenciales, pero una jugada
\ndesafortunada lo dejaría en el camino. El canadiense, que buscaba su
\nsegundo título EPT, terminó all in con J-J frente a Caraba con A-10, el
\nboard trajo un as y ese fue el final para Timex<\/i>, recompensado con €295.000 <\/b>por su 3º puesto.\n<\/p>

\nEl cara a cara se iniciaba con el rumano Teodor
\nCaraba al frente pero este jugador, que realizó un muy buen torneo, fue
\npillado en un farol con 5-6 suited frente a un overpair de Cody. El
\nbritánico logró una ventaja enorme al término de esa mano y, aunque
\nCaraba descontaría un poco de esa diferencia, Jake Cody sellaría la
\nvictoria al recibir K-K frente al A-K de su rival.\n<\/p>
