Tienes un doctorado en física cuántica, ¿te ha ayudado de alguna forma con el poker?<\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: Bueno, diría que, al igual que todo en la vida, para poder ser realmente bueno en algo, tienes que estar comprometido y trabajar duro. La estructura y la metodología también son importantes. Cómo inviertes tu energía, en qué te centras más, qué preguntas necesitas responder para poder seguir adelante y avanzar<\/p>

Diría que la investigación, un buen conocimiento de los desarrollos actuales, el deseo de seguir aprendiendo y por supuesto, creatividad e imaginación para crear algo nuevo. De la misma forma, el poker requiere un buen conocimiento de teoría existente, pero también la capacidad de introducir algo nuevo, de crear algo (tras un cierto nivel, claro) si lo que quieres es ir un paso por delante de tus oponentes en un entorno tan competitivo.<\/p>

¿Crees que es importante tener un conocimiento base en alguna otra disciplina para un jugador de poker (como matemáticas, ciencia, económicas...)? <\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: Es importante y no es importante al mismo tiempo. Sé que muchos jugadores llegan a tener mucho éxito sin conocimientos previos de ciencias o matemáticas. De la misma forma, el conocimiento teórico del poker no es siempre el primer criterio que determina buenos resultados. Dónde jugar, cómo jugar, cómo gestionar tu tiempo, el enfoque mental, la selección de mesas y otros aspectos, tienen la misma importancia o más que la estrategia.<\/p>

Sin embargo, para responder a tu pregunta desde otro ángulo, diría que si no tienes ningún conocimiento fuera del poker, avanzar podría resultarte algo difícil al final. No porque no tengas la capacidad de hacerlo, sino porque probablemente no tengas ningún sistema\/estructura de aprendizaje y\/o la disciplina necesarias. En este caso, necesitas un buen coach. Por supuesto, siempre estará la excepción que confirme la regla...<\/p>

En líneas generales, la gente que consigue dominar un arte o habilidad, puede hacer lo mismo en otra área.<\/p>

¿Crees que la habilidad de estudiar por tu cuenta, gracias a tu doctorado, te ha ayudado a la hora de estuiar poker? <\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: Cuando estudias un doctorado, aprendes diferentes habilidades. En mi caso, me desarrollé como jugador de poker al mismo tiempo.<\/p>

Y sí, la habilidad de estudiar por mi cuenta ha tenido un impacto crucial en mi progreso. Probablemente el hecho de que siempre me hayan gustado los juegos de estrategia, como el ajedrez, o resolver problemas de lógica o matemáticas, me ha ayudado en mi camino.<\/p>

¿Qué teorías de fuera del poker crees que ayudan a los jugadores? <\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: Hay varias cosas relevantes.<\/p>

Creo que lo más importante es centrarse en diferentes cosas dependiendo de tus necesidades y objetivos. Las necesidades de los jugadores de micros son diferentes de las de los jugadores de high stakes. Las necesidades de un jugador profesional difieren mucho de las necesidades de un jugador recreacional, etc.<\/p>

Claramente no puedes aprender mecánica cuántica si no tienes las bases de cálculo y física. Hay cosas avanzadas que te darán ventaja cuando progreses en tu carrera de poker, pero las bases son esenciales al principio. Sin embargo, las bases y las teorías avanzadas cambian con el tiempo, por lo que cada uno debe seguir su propio progreso de aprendizaje según su experiencia y motivación.<\/p>

No hace mucho estabas en NL25, y ahora juegas NL1000, ¿cómo ha sido tu progreso? <\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: Para mí el punto clave fue cuando jugaba en NL25-50 y tuve una sesión con un gran ganador\/grinder de NL200 de 2+2. Al principio de la sesión me di cuenta de que no este chico no tenía mucha idea de las bases (cosas realmente básicas, como por ejemplo, nunca hacía call vs 3bet, una locura para un reg de NL200 incluso hace 6 años). Sin embargo, tenía un win rate extremadamente bueno porque seguía un buen sistema.<\/p>

Después de la sesión, decidí desarrollar mi propio sistema, basándome en pruebas y teniendo en cuenta mis creencias y mis resultados. Fue como volver a empezar de nuevo, pero teniendo experiencia y con la mente completamente abierta. No tardé mucho en crear mis propias estrategias, implementar nuevas ideas y sistemas y aplicarlo todo a mi juego.... y esto es lo que sigo haciendo hoy en día.<\/p>

\"Los entrenadores tienen que seguir aprendiendo también\"<\/h2>

¿Por qué son tus entrenamientos privados diferentes? <\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: No hablo sobre la teoría como si fuera una verdad indiscutible. Hay herramientas muy útiles, por supuesto, pero no siempre nos permiten sacar el máximo partido. Me gusta dar consejos prácticos y concretos y proporcionar medidas en términos de win rate, al mismo tiempo que proporcionar un plan de mejora específico para cada área del juego.<\/p>

Diría que me centro en todos los aspectos específicos del juego y entro mucho en la toma de decisiones, profundizando en cada aspecto. De esta forma trato el juego como un todo de conclusiones universales que luego divido en unidades más pequeñas.<\/p>

A veces se necesita analizar desde lo general hacia lo específico. Este tipo de metodología me viene de la experiencia. Mi enfoque es diferente para cada límite\/sala y cada individuo, ya que ajusto según necesidades y objetivos. El papel de un buen coach es también proporcionar soporte psicológico, no solo técnico.<\/p>

Y por último, desde mi punto de vista, un coach debe ser una persona dispuesta a seguir aprendiendo. Si dejas de aprender, no puedes ser coach.<\/p>

¿Existe el equilibrio entre tu trabajo de ciencia y tu trabajo de poker?<\/strong><\/p>

asimos<\/a>: Disfruto de ambas cosas. Ahora mismo estoy viviendo mi sueño, sigo a mi corazón y gasto mi energía en lo que realmente me apasiona.<\/p>

Cuando te gusta algo tanto como a mí, es fácil encontrar el equilibrio. Trabajas de forma natural y te sientes realizado. Y al mismo tiempo, eres bueno, porque trabajas duro y te sientes feliz contigo mismo por ser bueno en algo.<\/p>
