Como comenté la semana pasada, estoy intentando aprender más sobre el proceso de aprendizaje para ayudarme con mi objetivo personal de revisar 365 manos en este 2024. La semana pasada analicé por qué poner a prueba la memoria<\/a> es una forma mejor de aprender que repasar material antiguo.<\/p>

El catalizador para querer revisar tantas manos en este 2024 fue un 'leak' específico que tenía, que tenía que ver con mi memoria de trabajo. Me costaba hacer malabarismos mentales con tantas manos posibles cuando pensaba en el rango de mi rival. Me encontraba a mí mismo poniendo a los jugadores en rangos muy estrechos porque me costaba considerar que, por ejemplo, en un flop de A72r, mi oponente podría tener AA, 77, 22, AKs, AKo, AQs, AQo,AJs,AJo, ATs, ATo, A9s-A2s, KK-99... ya te haces una idea.<\/p>

Sentí que a base de trabajo duro repasando manos, mejoraría mi memoria de trabajo a la hora de jugar manos. Al adentrarme en el meollo del aprendizaje, me acordé de un concepto que vimos en el libro The Mental Game of Poker 2<\/em>: fragmentación.<\/p>

Descomponer las cosas en trozos significativos<\/h2>

La fragmentación es un proceso cognitivo que consiste en dividir la información en unidades o \"trozos\" más pequeños y manejables<\/strong>. Al agrupar elementos relacionados, la fragmentación permite al cerebro procesar y retener la información de forma más estructurada.<\/p>

Consideremos la siguiente cadena de números aleatorios: 582917463<\/em>. Tratar de recordar esta secuencia en su conjunto puede resultar difícil. Sin embargo, al dividir los números en grupos más pequeños, como 58, 29, 17 y 46, la información resulta más digerible y fácil de recordar. En lugar de recordar nueve cifras sueltas, sólo hay que recordar cuatro trozos, lo que facilita el trabajo de la memoria.<\/p>

En la vida cotidiana, la fragmentación se utiliza a menudo para recordar números de teléfono, direcciones o números de tarjetas de crédito. Al dividir secuencias más largas en trozos significativos, las personas pueden mejorar su memoria y su capacidad de recordar, mejorando en última instancia su eficiencia cognitiva.<\/p>

Este método simplificado para desglosar las manos me alivió una enorme carga cognitiva. Ahora, cuando estudio o juego, en lugar de intentar pensar en todas las combinaciones de manos posibles, pienso cosas como \"Soy el open-raiser UTG y tendré ventaja de rango en los flops A y H, el defensor BB probablemente tendrá ventaja en los flops M y L\".<\/p>
