 Hotel Casino Foxwoods<\/i><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

El hotel casino de Connecticut, Foxwoods, será el anfitrión del evento World Poker Finals, un evento del World Poker Tour. Foxwoods se vinculo al World Poker Tour desde el comienzo de las temporadas y su relación con la compañía es excelente. El primero torneo disputado allí, por parte del World Poker Tour, fue hace 5 años, en el 2002<\/b>; el torneo sería la primera edición del World Poker Finals y además fue el sexto evento televisado por WPT, la asistencia fue menos de la esperada pero alcanzó para darle al ganador 345.000 dólares<\/b>, tan solo 89<\/b> personas se registraron; el ganador de la primera versión de este evento fue Howard “The Teacher” Lederer. Para el siguiente año, el evento World Poker Finals, registró un aumento del 350%<\/b> cuando entraron 313<\/b> para disputarse el premio final que garantizaba al finalista un millón de dólares<\/b>. En esta ocasión el turno para llevarse el primer puesto del World Poker Finals sería para Hoyt Corkins. <\/p>\n

Para el año siguiente, el 2004<\/b>, la asistencia fue nuevamente superada, duplicando a la del año anterior; 674<\/b> personas asistieron masivamente al llamado de este gran torneo que dejó un total re premios de más de 6 millones de dólares<\/b> garantizando un millón y medio de dólares<\/b> para el ganador. Tuan Le fue el ganador en esta ocasión derrotando a Temp Hutter, Tuan Le se acreditó una muy buena suma, además del primer lugar de la tercera edición del World Poker Finals. En el 2005 la asistencia volvió a crecer y tuvimos a 783 jugadores que disputaron el evento, el primer lugar fue para Nick Schulman, quien se llevó 2.1 millones de dólares como recompensa por haber ganado la cuarta edición del World Poker Finals. El año pasado, en el 2006, tuvimos un descenso de ingreso del 23%, entrando 607 jugadores al evento principal. El premio del primer lugar se lo llevó Nenad Medic, abonándose más de 1.7 millones de dólares<\/b> a su cuenta.<\/p>\n

En el 2005<\/b> se agregaría un evento adicional para el casino que hospeda al World Poker Finals, se llamaría el Foxwoods Poker Classic que tendría su debut en abril del 2006 y entrarían 461<\/b> jugadores. El ganador de este primer evento del Foxwoods Poker Classic<\/b> sería Victor Ramdin. El segundo evento del Foxwoods Poker Classic<\/b> tendría lugar en abril de este año, atrayendo a 415<\/b> jugadores que sucumbieron ante la victoria de Raj Patel. Para este año se espera una mayor asistencia pues sería la quinta edición del torneo World Poker Finals, que se jugaría en el hotel casino Foxwoods, para agregarle un monto más al total de premios entregados en la historia de este evento, el total suma más de 17 millones de dólares.<\/p>\n

La última opción para entrar a este evento sin pagar los 10.000 dólares<\/b> de entrada será en el satélite que se juega hoy a las 6 de la tarde<\/b> y que tiene un costo de 1.100 dólares<\/b> y dará entrada al día 1B<\/b> que se jugará mañana a partir de las 12 del medio día. El evento principal del World Poker Finals durará 6 días más, concluyéndose con la mesa final, que será el 13 de noviembre y empezará a las 5 de la tarde.
