\nLa séptima temporada del World Poker Tour<\/strong> ya fue anunciada
\npor la empresa en su sitio web oficial, este calendario había sido muy esperado
\npor todos y aunque se habían hablado de ciertas modificaciones no se sabía a
\nciencia ciertas qué torneos iban a ser removidos para una mejor proyección del
\nTour. Por los últimos tres años, el World Poker Tour<\/strong> ha iniciado su temporada
\nen el casino Mirage<\/em>, en mayo, pero dado a algunos inconvenientes con este
\ncasino el WPT decidió sacar a este casino del calendario, entonces la inauguración
\nde esta séptima temporada será en el casino Bellagio<\/em>, desde el 11 hasta el 17
\nde julio del 2008; este evento se titula Bellagio Cup IV<\/strong>. Otra modificación
\nimportante fue la remoción del evento en Mandalay Bay, el cual había estado en
\nel calendario durante dos temporadas; este evento fue eliminado gracias a que
\nera el de menor asistencia de todos los eventos del World Poker Tour, debido a
\nla competencia directa con el World Series of Poker.\n<\/p>

\n\"\"\"\"El casino Bellagio será el anfitrión de cuatro de los catorce
\neventos de la séptima temporada del World Poker Tour, entre ellos el evento de
\napertura el 11 de julio. Otro de los eventos eliminados fue el poco concurrido
\nde Turku & Caicos, que se abriera el año pasado. Un evento nuevo será el
\nBeau Rivage en Biloxi, este torneo reemplazará al World Poker Open en Tunica.
\n“Para asegurar que el World Poker Tour continúe entregando la mejor experiencia
\nposible, la séptima temporada incluye una fuerte serie de paradas que serán las
\nfavoritas de los jugadores y todos continuaremos viéndolas crecer temporada
\ntras temporada…”<\/em>, dice el fundador, presidente y ejecutivo del World Poker
\nTour, Steve Lipscomb<\/strong> y agrega: “…las tendencias de la industria y las
\nsugerencias de los jugadores es algo que tenemos en cuenta al crear el calendario,
\nel cual se ha enfocado en hacer eventos que incrementen la asistencia de
\njugadores, que enriquezca el pozo total y que tengan más cobertura por parte de
\nlos medios. El calendario también le brinda más oportunidades de clasificar
\nmediante satélites a los jugadores, permitiendo también que los casinos
\nasociados se enfoquen en promociones mayores con mejores oportunidades para
\ncada evento”<\/em>.\n<\/p>

\nUno de los eventos removidos del calendario y que nos causa mayor tristeza es
\nel Campeonato Español del WPT <\/strong>(WPT Spanish Championship) que se hubiera inaugurado
\nen la sexta temporada el año pasado; la compañía del World Poker Tour prefiere
\nconcentrarse en los Estados Unidos para, más adelante, poder expandirse por el
\nresto de países satisfactoriamente y sin perder audiencia. Trece de los catorce
\neventos que brinda el World Poker Tour son jugados dentro de los Estados Unidos
\ny el otro restante es jugado en Notario, al lado de las Cataratas del Niágara
\nen el hotel y casino Fallsview; este evento tiene por nombre el Campeonato
\nNorteamericano de Póquer<\/strong> (North American Poker Championship). Esta es la lista
