\n\"JoeJoseph Hachem nació el 3 de noviembre de 1966 en el Líbano,
\npero en 1972 su familia se mudó a Melbourne, Australia, y este ha sido su hogar
\ndesde entonces. Durante 15 años fue un exitoso quiropráctico, pero su carrera
\nterminaría en el 2001, pues desarrolló una extraña enfermedad sanguínea que
\ninhabilitaba a sus manos para ejercer su profesión (aunque le permitía efectuar
\nlabores cotidianas). Joe Hachem, casado y con cuatro hijos, no se dejó
\nderrumbar por esta enfermedad y decidió enlistarse como corredor de hipotecas
\nhaciéndose un buen salario por algunos años, pero el mercado le empezó a dar la
\nespalda a medida de que la competencia aumentaba. Durante ese tiempo Hachem
\nempezó a hurgar en el mundo del póquer, lo exploró muy seriamente, jugando en
\nel casino Crown de Melbourne y jugando online, cada día más. Para el World Series of Poker del 2005<\/strong>, Hachem
\nse consideraba un jugador semi-profesional; dejando a su esposa e hijos en
\nAustralia, Hachem emprendió el viaje a Las Vegas para satisfacer su sueño de
\njugar en el World Series of Poker<\/strong>.
\nFue un año exitoso para debutar, en el primer evento que jugara, No Limit a 1.000 dólares<\/strong> la entrada, finalizó en
\nel décimo puesto ganando 25.850 dólares<\/strong>,
\nde este dinero sacaría 10.000 dólares<\/strong>
\ny se pagaría su propia entrada al evento principal del World Series of Poker<\/strong>, que en ese año logró una convocatoria de
\n5.619 jugadores; más tarde le preguntarían a Hachem cómo se sentía al estar
\nallí y él respondió: \"Mi mesa era la
\nprimera cuando entrabas a la sala, desde ahí se podía ver el mar de jugadores y
\nme pregunté ‘¿qué estoy haciendo aquí?', para no volverme loco pensé ‘juega tu
\nmesa, eso es todo lo que te debe preocupar'. Esto me ayudó a concentrarme pues
\nel evento principal del World Series of
\nPoker<\/strong> puede ser algo abrumador, insoportable...\". <\/em>\n

Hachem no era conocido en el mundo del póquer y aún cuando
\nllegó a la mesa final casi nadie sabía mucho sobre él, casi todo el tiempo
\ncallado Hachem alcanzó a llegar a la última posición, pero se incorporó
\nnuevamente y finalmente derrotaría a Steve Dannenmann, quien se llevó por este
\nsegundo puesto 4.250.000 dólares<\/strong>
\nmientras que Joe Hachem acumulaba 7.500.000
\ndólares<\/strong>, además del brazalete de oro del World Series of Poker<\/strong>. Hay que resaltar que esta mesa final es la
\nmesa final más larga de la historia del World
\nSeries of Poker<\/strong>. En la última mano de esta mesa final, Joe Hachem acepta
\nuna subida antes de ver el flop por parte de Dannenmann y miren lo que pasa:<\/p>\n

\"Joe
\nHachem viajó a Estados Unidos para jugar la World Series of Poker<\/strong> porque un amigo
\nsuyo se ganó un satélite por PokerStars, esto motivó aún más su iniciativa de
\nir a Las Vegas. Siendo uno de los jugadores con menos fichas en la mesa final,
\nluchó para poder quedarse en la final contra Steve Dannenmann. Desde la
\nmultitud le coreaban seguidores australianos animándole: \"Aussie, Aussie, ¡Oi!, ¡Oi! ¡Oi!\"<\/em>. Hachem dijo después de ganar el World Series of Poker<\/strong> del 2005: \"por lo que he me han contado mis amigos,
\nAustralia se enloqueció\";<\/em> esto fue precisamente porque Hachem fue el primer
\naustraliano en ganar el evento principal del World Series of Poker<\/strong>. Joe Hachem hace parte del equipo de la sala
\nonline PokerStars, al igual que los campeones del evento principal del World Series of Poker<\/strong>, Chris
\nMoneymaker<\/a> y Greg Raymer, aunque a diferencia de ellos Joe Hachem no
\ncalificó al evento principal mediante satélites sino que pagó la entrada
\ndirectamente. Luego en diciembre del 2006, un Joe Hachem mucho más tranquilo, gana
\nel Campeonato World Poker Tour<\/strong> en la

Según Hachem nunca deseó con ansias la fama, pero tampoco le
