I'm wondering if calling the flop was the right move, or if I should have folded.
On the flop, I put him on either flush draw or hitting a pair on the board. Called reasoning if I had 4 ours for to hit the straight and he would probably have hit a lower one and pay me off, plus the other 6 outs for top pair. But now I realize even if I hit my A or K, he could have 2 pair or a straight..

The bet on the turn seemed weak, for protecting a pair. Called it.

On the river, I expected him to bet big, but he checked. I checked, reasoning any hand that would call a river would have me beat, plus I wanted to know what his hand was.

I was pretty surprised at his hand at showdown.

      What do you guys think?

      1. Raise 4BB + 1BB / limper preflop (here: $1)
      2. I don't know ;) . Probably would've pushed flop as you have plenty of outs.

      Backdoor Flushdraw + Gutshot + 2 overs = Pushhhh

Oh, didn't see your stack. Idk if overbetting the flop so much is an option but the chips should be going in i think

raise normally as 098799 said, but I have many questions about flop. You have gutshot (4 outs) and I think you should discard some outs A  ,Q  , because his flush can crash your straight, so total 8 outs.I don`t know about backdoor flush, but it`s possibility that he chasing nut flush.I`m still not very good at odds ,but I`m not sure that call or push is right on flop (pot odds ~3:1 and odds from 8 outs 5:1 till turn,2:1 till river,so pot odds is favorable??).And you had enough stack left to compete at a better spot.I would call or push only if I had some special reads or stats about this opp.According to basic strategy easy check/fold on flop because thrash hand(only overcards) + bet in front of you( and he did normal bet to me). :)

fold flop (there is another option - 3bet, but i don't think it fits you)
      and push river of course)
