      Poker Stars $5.00 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

      BB: $17.55 - VPIP: 16, PFR: 8, 3B: 2, AF: 6,5, Hands: 180
      UTG: $5.07 - VPIP: 25, PFR: 23, 3B: 11, AF: 1,0, Hands: 113
      CO: $12.31 -
      BTN: $5.17 - VPIP: 30, PFR: 30, 3B: 20, AF: 0,0, Hands: 10
      Hero (SB): $11.50 - VPIP: 21, PFR: 16, 3B: 4, AF: 2,0, Hands: 40699

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is SB with A :spade: 6 :spade:
1 fold, CO raises to $0.12, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.10, 1 fold

      Flop: ($0.29) J :spade: 7 :diamond: 3 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.18, Hero calls $0.18

      Turn: ($0.65) 7 :spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.40, Hero calls $0.40
So weak sizes, I could be ahead with Ah on the flop. On turn I get a FD. And I could still be ahead.

      River: ($1.45) 8  (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $1.20, Hero folds

Maybe the problem started preflop with the call. It's a fold or 3bet situation (blocker) I think.

i agree; fold or 3bet preflop. at least with a 3bet we can a) take pot down pre, b) easy fold to 4bet, c) take pot down on the flop with a cbet or d) barrel when we turn some equity. obviously depends on villain though and how he reacts to 3bets and cbets etc. i doubt it's even a huge mistake to just fold it preflop.

i agree that 3bet or folding preflop is best.

as played i'm not a huge fan of check/calling oop with A high.
you are behind (pocket) pairs and other A highs :f_biggrin: even if you hit you won't really know where you stand.
on the turn you are not going to be ahead often enough either.

anyway, as played... vs his weakish sizing i prefer to just go for a flop bluff check/raise right away.
this flop is relatively dry and we can make him fold at least middle pairs (besides all his air obviously). as backup we have a backdoor flush and our A may also happen to be good.

i'd advice discretion with this kind of move though. it can easily turn into a huge money spewing leak :f_biggrin:
