I realize this doesn't look that good without the story, the story was he knew i was 3betting him light and he 4bet me lately twice, of course could all be value hands but i doubt it, card was perfect for it.

Hi Dracsharp,

This one is a bit close because we still need a LOT of FE here.

66 has decent equity versus his calling range (PPs/suited aces have some of the best equity versus premium ranges). Did you calculate the FE needed here? If not do you know how?

If you don't let me know and I'll give you a rundown.

I don't really know, but wanted to calculate it one point, is there a simple way to do it ?

440/625 70% need fold if we have 0 eq

66 35% eq

The way I do it:

Assume we have 0 FE.

1) Calculate how much we stand to win based on our equity
2) Calculate how much we stand to lose based on our equity
3) Subtract 1 from 2 and you should get a negative number, let's call it X.
4) Divide the absolute value of X by (pot to win if he folds + X) and multiply by 100. That's the FE you need.

Give it a shot.

Sounds good,

If you have time try it with various equities (based on different ranges that villain can call with).

If i did it correctly i guessed about 40 , eq gets marginally better 1-2% if he calls loose TT+,AQs+,AQo+ but ev much worse because he is not folding.

1.

625 .35 218.75
440 .65 286

-67.25

67.25/185

36 Fe

.36 185
.64 -67.25

Math checks out here

2.

625 .20 125
440 .80 352

-227

227/185 *100

122 Fe ? Obviously can't be higher than 70% the value i guessed is about 65% and it checks out

Where did i mess up ? ^^

4.40 is what i have to put in after my .60 in a 10.000 pot and i win 1.85 current pot + 4.40 his stack 6.25.

The current pot, that we stand to win if he folds, is 0.13 + 0.60 + 1.25 = 1.98

Then we add 3.75 for what he has left to call (5 - 1.25) and we get 5.73

Did it in excel, half assed try ignoring even sb in notepad was not the way to go +2 major mistakes after that, and even finished faster with more info and actually correct :I ,

QQ+,AKs,AKo
0,301464103

KK+
0,545245751

TT+,AQs+,AQo+
0,247691782

So assuming his 4bet range is correct i don't have a 4b bluff, 3,1/2,5=1,24 but even a slightest clue of looser 4bet makes it easy push, also did it for Ax which seems like the only other reasonable candidate for 5bet bluff push, but even if suited doesn't come close i don't think blocker is going to worth that much.

Can we calculate that ?

What do you think ?

Looks good,

With 35% equity we need 30% FE.

More realistic is the 30% equity for about 40% FE.

Can we calculate what? I'm not sure I followed that question.

That how much does blockers worth in a pre 5 bluff push ?

What cards would you use for bluff 5bet push ?

Since it limits his premium hands assuming qq+,ak call 34 to 27 which is a 20% less likely that he has the goods but postflop significantly worse eq.

In a 5-bet scenario we want the equity on top of anything else because at the end of the day when we get called that's what matters the most and reduces the FE required.

In a 4-bet/fold spot we want the blockers because the equity vs a 5bet is irrelevant because we always fold.
