Presentation and History
I my name is Luís and im from Portugal.
I gained interest in poker after depositing 100$ in a casino online to play roulette, doubling the money with bets of 1 or 2 cents and then loosing all.
I had read a bit about roulette and came to the obvious conclusion: Roulette in the long run is a losing game.
So i searched for a game that i could play against other people and not against the house (because the house always have an edge over the clients) and poker came along.
My 1st experience with Poker was on PKR where they had STTSNG free-roll that gave 1 or 2 cents to the winner.
Then one day i decided to make a 10€ deposit on pokerstars to play 0,25$ 45man and to my surprise i was a winning player at those.
Later i made a bigger deposit so i could play in bigger buy-ins... and that didn't go so well, so i got scared withdraw most of the money that i just deposited.
In the last 3 months i decided to take poker more seriously and the results are showing
And here i am today, right now im playing 45man and 90man from 0,50$ and 1$
My bank roll is 280$ and going up at a steady pace.
Primary Objectives
Find a way to do 1000 tournaments a month (my max is 600 a month )
When i can make 1000 a month i will probably search for a stacking with coaching deal to learn faster and play higher buy-ins
Read and wright about pot odds and equity to properly understand what is a correct call with 5BBs on the BB (i know that there are sharts for this but to study my game i need to learn this, so that i can analyse other spots where i dont know if a call or a fold is the right thing to do)
Long term objectives (money related)
Make more money playing poker part time then in my full time job (dont think this will be that hard to achieve because i gain less than 800€ a month)
When i have enough statistical prof, become pro (this decision will only become reality if i win at least 3 times more 800€ on a regular basis. Like almost every month over a year)
