Preflop: Hero is BB with K:diamond: , Q:diamond:
      MP2 raises to $2.00, 4 folds, Hero calls $1.50.

      Flop: ($4.25) 9:diamond: , 8:club: , 7:diamond: (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP2 bets $3.50, Hero raises to $8.00, MP2 calls $4.50.

      Turn: ($20.25) 7:spade: (2 players)
      Hero bets $10.00, MP2 calls $10.00.

      River: ($40.25) A:club: (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP2 checks.

      Final Pot: $40.25

      Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a pair of sevens (Kd Qd)
MP2 shows two pairs, tens and sevens (Ts Td)

MP2 wins with two pairs, tens and sevens (Ts Td)

perhaps it is a wrong move on such a passive guy and i should just bet out
but against an opponent who likes to bet in position when he senses weakness, is it good to play c/r with such draws? (so that either i get a free card or i make him fold his bluff)

I would either 3-bet or fold preflop. I don't like to play a hand like this OOP without being the preflop aggressor. As played I'm probably donking the flop and take it from there. Unless he's hit a set we're in pretty good shape.

Against such guy raising from UTG, I'd 3bet as smooth calling poses domination problems. Still, its suited and a call is ok, but you have to be careful with one pair type of hands.
I prefer lead/3bet on such flop.
Your turnbet is too small, and the card isnt really a good one after being called, so I prefer checking and playing odds wise.

      Best regards,
