• _Anonymous_
Hand 1:
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed)

UTG ($27.40)
UTG+1 ($24.30)
MP1 ($19.25)
Hero ($5.95)
MP3 ($58.65)
CO ($51.60)
Button ($38.50)
SB ($54.20)
BB ($16.65)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with T:heart: , T:diamond: .
[color:#666666]3 folds, [color:#CC3333]Hero raises to $1, [color:#666666]3 folds, SB calls $0.90, [color:#CC3333]BB raises to $5, Hero folds, SB calls $4.

Flop: ($11) J:spade: , 6:spade: , 9:heart: [color:#0000FF](2 players)
SB checks, [color:#CC3333]BB bets $5, SB calls $5.

Turn: ($21) T:spade: [color:#0000FF](2 players)
SB checks, BB checks.

River: ($21) Q:club: [color:#0000FF](2 players)
[color:#CC3333]SB bets $6.75, BB calls $6.65 (All-In).

Final Pot: $34.30

Remaining stack is ~5x original raise of $ fold to the re-raise, right? Does the dead money from SB change that at all?

Hand 2:
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed)

MP1 ($25.95)
MP2 ($32.65)
MP3 ($19.35)
CO ($4.40)
Button ($26.15)
SB ($25.05)
Hero ($5)
UTG ($23.90)
UTG+1 ($26.80)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:club: , T:club: .
[color:#666666]7 folds, SB completes, [color:#CC3333]Hero raises to $1.25, SB folds.

Final Pot: $0.50

1) I have position on SB
2) SB only completed
3) I quite possibly have the best hand even if he calls
4) I'd be raising here with AJo, which isn't a significantly better hand than ATs
5) I figured that if I checked and missed the flop that I'd have to fold to even a miniscule bet

Was the raise OK in this situation, or am I still better off just checking with this hand?

1) I think that folding TT is right. You are often behind.
2) I would raise SB here with Axs and A7+, because I often win the pot right there. Only I would raise 0,75$ (don´t know if I should raise 1$, but 0,75$ seems good enough and I don´t have to push with my whole stack, as I make contibets)

OK, thanks Kaitz. I just wanted to make sure that the extra dead money in the pot didn't change anything.
