      I think you played the hand fine. You certainly have to raise the turn as there are a lot a bad river cards possible, and assuming villain is your average fish he will probably call anything with any piece of the board/draw anyway. In this case he happened to have complete air/a very weak hand, and even if you just call the turn he will probably only bet like 5bb on the river then fold which probably won't make up for all the times he will be drawing and hit something on the river.

      That is my two cents.

      your turn raise is really huge and since he bet that small I think he mostly doesn´t really have anything. I would also raise turn, but would make it 8$ and then betting depends on the river card half potsize bet. if you make it potsize and shove river then it is very hard worse hands to call you down
