Or at least I thought it was having hit 809 party points today.

800 points were required. According to the bonus information screen I still require well over 300 points to clear it?

      Why is this?

      Hi brett1985!

Because meanwhile you reached the "Queens" status on PartyPoker and get bonus points. But only the basic PartyPoints count for the bonus. Check out this site: https://secure.partyaccount.com/pc/pc_user_daily_summary.htm

      Good luck at the tables!

I've decided to stop wasting my time and play $10 sit and goes.

I don't think that's a good choice. You need at least a $500 bankroll for that! What's your bankroll?

I guess it's funnier to us than to the PokerStrategy staff who just wasted 50 $ on him :D

Nah, on Party you just get strategy points very fast compared to other rooms at the lower limits.
I have about 900 base PP (1125 Strategy points) after the next update, yet I only produced about 100 $ rake total.

Quit with this nonsense about money being wasted on me. I have played 12000 hands on partypoker after this promotion, achieved silver status on PokerStrategy.com and the sit and goes I have played have gone well.

The reason I am playing sit and goes is because I am at the stage where I need to make moves with regards building up a bankroll and in my considered opinion certain risks are required to advance. Playing SSS was low risk but slow progress. I respect its utility to educate absolutely novice players but with 6000 more hands now required to clear the bonus its not for me. To the best of my estimation, I have the skills to play sit and goes up to $20 level, I just don't have the bankroll.

If fortunate enough to do well in some sit and goes I will not be moving up in limits so proper bankroll management will come into play and at that stage PokerStrategy.com should be more than fairly remumerated.

      Hi brett1985!

I think you are making a big mistake. Proper bankroll management is the most important thing if you want to be a successful poker player. You say: Maybe I get lucky. Why don't you try a lottery then? Don't get me wrong: it's absolutely your choice. But if you have been playing the SSS successfully, why shouldn't you play the BSS successfully and climb up the limits? Just be patient and move up according to the bankroll management. Someday you will be at the higher stakes and will laugh about your impatience and the "small" amounts of money.

      Whatever you do:

I see the topic in the other section has been locked. I was going to post my future progress in there and compare and contrast the different strategies.

I will give SSS another shot but a lot will depend on my next 10k hands. By then I will almost certainly have the $100 bonus but how much of my original $50 will remain? Say a prayer for my bankroll.

The thread has been closed because it was off-topic and would have led to confusion. But feel free to open a new one to let us know about your progress.
