      The river was one of the 78 cards i didnt wanna see.. I decided to muck it, i dont think he'd be turning his 66 or 88 into a bluff very often here esp after i showed a significant strenght.

      Your play is definitely fine but I would likely bet bigger on turn, ~$1.20 or something similar. Unless the villain is very aggresive, I wouldn't lay down my hand but I very often except to be beat. Also on flop we were in a pretty big pot, so he might even have a made hand there.
