      Afterwards I felt that I should have gone for a cheap showdown as I didnt beat much with that board but was I right at taking a stab at the pot considering everyone checked again, also calling preflop 3 bet did I have the right odds to flop a set

      you shuldnt be limping 99 here...get raising and try to isolate the limper before you.....ul probly get 3 bet from the button here with 10 10 and u culd take it from there but ud know more where u stand....ud be playing for set value then...or folding pre flop...where as with ur pre flop play u have no idea what he has....although once u played it that way u did the right thing...

      Preflop: 99 is way too strong to just limp, I'd just raise it up.

      As played
      Flop: Checking is totally fine, since we Called preflop and wanted to play the hand passively.
      Turn: At this situation I would bet out myself also, since everyone showed weakness.
      River: Checking against the multiway pot also, well played.
