Hand Histories

      Howdy,

I've just downloaded PT3 Beta version, but the problem I'm having is that the hand history for 888 isn't saving onto my hard drive - to the directory I've told it to (the same directory that I've pointed PT3 to).

I've been playing on 888 for a while now, and I've never seen one hand history from them.

I've contacted their support, but I was just wondering of anyone else had problems with 888 and hand histories, or 888 and PT3?!?

      Advice would be fantastic!
      Cheers

      Hi Helipacter,

      From 888 software:

      Click "Settings"

      Click "Game Settings"

Shows the file location on the right hand side.

Mine is something like C:\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\PacificPoker\HandHistory

Think I'm using Vista, but no idea how to check lol.

      Hope this helps, best regards,

      Hi,

Yeah, mine was set like that (it still wasn't receiving anything then either), but PT3 recommends directing it to a new folder on your C drive which I've got set up as:

      C:\Program files\Pacificpoker\Hand Histories

both PT3 and 888 are now pointing at this file, but nothing is going from 888 into it - therefore the PT3 HUD isn't working.

If the histories were being saved onto the C drive without being imported from PT3 then I'd know that the problem is with PT3, but they're not saving in any of my directories. :f_mad:

Anyway, I've emailed the Support, hopefully they can help.

PokerTracker 3 moves the file to a new folder, after the hands are imported.

However the output folder of 888poker and the input folder of PokerTracker 3 needs to be the same.

The process order of PokerTracker 3 should be different.

      Best regards,
      Hannes

Thanks Hannes, I've done everything that PT3 has told me to, but still nothing. I've not heard back from 888 either...

Anyway, we'll see what happens over the next few days...

And in the 888poker software you ticked the option to save your handhistories to your harddisc?

      Cheers,

Yup, and I selected the correct directory. I'll email their poker support today, as their other support isn't responding :-(

Is it support@888poker.com? Or something like that - I can't find it anywhere...

      Cheers

      The e-mail address of 888poker is support@888poker.com

Is the handhistory folder also empty, if you do not start PT3?

      Cheers,
      Hannes

Yeah, it's empty - and even when I use PT3 and I click "auto-import" nothing happens.

Cheers for the confirmation on the email addy, I'll drop them an line now.

      Thanks

I had a very bizarre response from 888. They asked for my details so that they could send my previous hand history to me (even though the email address I sent is the same email address they wrote to).

Then the email went on about Deposits and promotions - no mention of the actual problem of not getting my histories as I play!

Does anyone here work for 888 and can help at all?? I don't know if they've sent me email on to a tech team or anything...

      Hm, not really helpful.

The only thing which you haven't tried yet are to reinstall the software correct? Please try this and you also can try to start 888poker software with admin rights. Maybe this will help.

      Cheers,
      Hannes

Well, I got the PT3 update today - so that counts as a re-install eh? I'll try reinstalling the 888 software and seeing what that does. (I run both PT3 on "logging enabled" as Admin, and the poker room as admin... oh well...)

As always, Hannes, I'm indebted to you for your help!

ticked the change folder and changed it to c:\hand history

under the pacific poker configuration , now this is my default configuration

automatically start with auto import is ticked

directories configuration is set to c:\hand history

maybe you can try this out too and see if it works?

However it is really strange why it didn't work before.
