      I would probably have bet about half the pot on the river in an attempt to get weaker hands to call. Shoving will only get weaker hands to fold and better hands to call (a set or straight)

      Hello nuxia,

      You could just bet a bit bigger all the streets and then you could easily shove on river. Otherwise I think if he even has the Ace there he is going to Call the shove anyway, likely had a FD.
