Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      MP2:
      $5.24
      MP3:
      $6.02
      CO:
      $3.35
      BU:
      $5.00
      SB:
      $9.62
      BB (Hero):
      $5.88

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5, 4.
2 folds, CO calls $0.05, BU raises to $0.20, SB calls $0.18, Hero calls $0.15, CO calls $0.15.

      Flop: ($0.8) 8, 2, 6 (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $0.15, BU calls $0.15, SB folds, Hero calls $0.15.

      Turn: ($1.25) 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks, BU checks.

      River: ($1.25) 3 (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks, BU checks.

      Final Pot: $1.25.
      Results follow:

BU shows two pairs, eights and sixs(7 6).
      Hero shows a straight, six high(5 4).
      CO shows a pair of eights(J 7).

Hero wins with a straight, six high(5 4).

is there any point of betting the river? the flush is there and FH possibility too. I should be probably playing bet/fold there but one of them was a maniac so i decided to check/call the river. I thought the only worse hand that was going to call were like trip 8s, intrested in verizes opinion :)

      Hello matusko,

Yes, I very often bet out myself in such situations. The reason is this, you can't just hope someone to bet out himself since it's multiway pot and they could easily think that their one pair type of hand ain't worth betting out. I wouldn't really expect them to have a FH there since they haven't shown any kind of aggression. And why not to Bet out ourself? If we bet out we can easily just Bet/Fold against a raise, we will just know that we are behind but we still could get a Call from a weaker pair and what would have likely happened since one guy had 67. :P

      Best regards.
