Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q, Q.
MP2 folds, Hero raises to $0.08, 2 folds, SB calls $0.07, BB folds.

      Flop: ($0.18) 7, 8, 5 (2 players)
SB bets $0.68, Hero calls $0.68.

      Turn: ($1.54) T (2 players)

      River: ($1.54) K (2 players)

      Final Pot: $1.54.

      Results follow:

Hero shows a pair of queens(Qd Qs).
      SB shows a pair of sixs(6s 6c).

Hero wins with a pair of queens(Qd Qs).

Would the correct play here be to lay down?
I thought he wouldn't push the nuts or a set.

If you have no reads on him I don't think a call is a huge mistake because like you said most players will slowplay a strong hand here. He could be pushing with a strong draw or a set or a total bluff, none of them really make any sense.

If you know he's a regular you should be suspicious of a huge overbet because it's often designed to look like weakness in order to illicit a call.

Tbh i'd def push with a set here, the board is really wet and i wouldnt wanna see a flush card or a card that makes four to a straight..

Whether you decide to donk with a set or not from SB's position, and the donk in itself definately has merits over an attempted check-raise, I don't think you should overbet. A pot sized bet will keep in the drawing hands rather than forcing them to fold.

      Hello nuxia,

Against such a stack I snapcall there, he can easily do there with any kind of draw or 8x type of hand or whatever even worse. He would never shove there directly on flop with set, more often some kind of way slowplay it.

      Best regards.
