Since a recent review of my play, I feel that I have in general been missing value on the river too often.

This villain was just starting to show signs of frustration and had begun playing back at me in general. Villain was also playing about 35/15 with a marked increase in River Aggression (over about 60 hands). Villain seemed decent as far as I could tell. BTW, the min-raise on the river was instant.

Known players: (for a description of vp$ip, pfr, ats, folded bb, af, wts, wsd or hands click here)
      MP3:
      $30.99
      Hero:
      $28.53

      0.10/0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.8 by www.pokerstrategy.cc.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8:spade: , A:spade:
      MP3 calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0.60) 4:spade: , 2:spade: , 8:diamond: (2 players)
      Hero bets $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50.

      Turn: ($1.60) 6:spade: (2 players)
      Hero bets $1.25, MP3 calls $1.25.

      River: ($4.10) 8:club: (2 players)
      Hero bets $3, MP3 raises to $6.00, Hero raises to $14.75, MP3 calls $8.75.

      Final Pot: $33.60

Is my river raise too thin here?

If this hand had been my first at the table, would my river play be OK?

      push river after his minraise.

I am going broke in this spot, for 100bbs, even it is the first Hand.
If villian has a fh, so be it, usually he should raise flop with a set for protection.
