Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K, A.
      2 folds, MP2 raises to $0.04, Hero raises to $0.12, 2 folds, SB calls $0.11, BB calls $0.10, MP2 calls $0.08.

      Flop: ($0.48) 9, Q, 8 (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.20, MP2 raises to $0.52, Hero raises to $1.83(All-In), SB folds, BB folds, MP2 calls $1.31.

Are you OK with this shove? Or is there a better line?
Villian: VPIP 52 PFR 12 AF 2.3 WTS 40 over only 25 hands though

I think you played right had 15 outs ( 9 hearts and 6 overcards) the odds are right to shove..

perhaps you should 3-bet higher preflop

      Morning ILuvBeachVB! :f_cool:

As played I would consider it standard. You may run to set some time (and rarely to str8 - not likely as hand played), but on flop pot is already $1.2 and you are risking $1.83 to win $4.22 (in case only MP2 calls), or ~$5.2 if both players call the shove.

If you just flat there, on turn POT will be $1.7+ and you have little less then 1 POT size and MP2 will put you all-in every time with 1 bet. And if you not hit your flush there your equity for call to his range would be significantly worse than on flop and you should not call there.

In case A is live out for you are flipping, otherwise when called you have about 33% equity. If we add to his range some less likely suited hands that he incorrectly calls OOP, you are doing equity wise little bit better (36%).

      Hello ILuvBeachVB,

Even though it's fish, I'd give him sometimes respect. Since he is raising in such a multiway pot I expect him often to have a pretty strong hand unless we have some good reads on him but it ain't wrong to get it in there.

Just made a small range against we could be, we also could add few more hands into that:

      Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
      Player 1: 40,035% 40,035% 0,000% 59,965% AhKh
      Player 2: 59,965% 59,965% 0,000% 40,035% 99-88, AQs, KQs, QJs, JTs, 98s, AQo, KQo, QJo, JTo, 98o

So if you really don't like variance and are more likely passive player it ain't wrong if you fold there since you haven't really invested much money but it ain't either wrong if you decide to shove. Depending on your style.

Also take into consideration that you have more often Fold equity = 0.

      Best regards.

I was re thiking the hand and came to conclusion that folding here is viable option as well.

But if MP2 is little bit overaggressive and with option we can get it either 3way or get HU to BB (shortie) sometimes. I still prefer shove... :D
