My hand reading and thought processes have been getting better and better, I go less on autopilot and think more about the hand in progress.

So wanted to post this to check whether my thought processes behind this call are correct, or am I still just leveling myself and getting lucky? :f_biggrin:

I cbet smallish, because our villain doesn't like folding to cbets much ...
Now he checks back turn, he would imo always fire the turn with a J or even 9, coz if I check there, any J is obv good and any 9 as well since I'd 2nd barrel my J for protection/value (yes, fish don't vbet a 9, but they bet it to take the pot down since I've shown much weakness).

So on the river, I do not represent anything pretty much, but the river is the ultimate brick, every draw busts but he raises with something that checked back on the turn?

Check back turn - raise blank river = busto draw, click call, ez game imo :f_cool:

      CO ($21.75)
      Hero ($25.35)

      Dealt to Hero 8:heart: 7:heart:

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.75, SB calls $0.65, fold

      FLOP ($1.75) Q:heart: 7:spade: T:club:

SB bets $0.75, Hero raises to $1.60, SB calls $0.85

      TURN ($4.95) Q:heart: 7:spade: T:club: 2:club:

      SB checks, Hero checks

      RIVER ($4.95) Q:heart: 7:spade: T:club: 2:club: 4:heart:

SB bets $2.75, Hero calls $2.75

      Hero shows 8:heart: 7:heart:
      (Pre 42%, Flop 64.5%, Turn 77.3%)

      SB shows A:club: J:spade:
      (Pre 58%, Flop 35.5%, Turn 22.7%)

      Hero wins $9.93

      Same here ...

Don't think a fish donks Qx for less than 1/2 pot and then has the balls to fire the river as well (oonly AQ/KQ maybe bets the river again when I check bk turn, but donking out less than 1/2 pot on the flop doesn't make too much sense with those hands in my mind).

And they never vbet thin enough in the micros.

      Click call. Game over.

Don´t really like your river bet with AK since he doesn´t fold there worse hands. Also not sure you can call, since I think he would play 8T the same way, but if you had read then it is fine
2nd hand is fine. There are enough worse hands in his range that you can all his small river bet
