Villain is a big fish very loose will call anything as long as he has a draw or made hand even under pairs etc. I had him calling on the flush draw so I just value bet but he hit on the river, should I have shoved or made a very large bet on the turn for protection?

Protection is never main reason for beting, you are getting value from draws. If hand is worth bet for value then it is worth to protect.I would bet a bit bigger ,about 0.45-0.5 to do odds to him bit incorrect. When draw hits and you know that he bets only flush(he is passive and bets on the river only 2pair + hands, watch his showdowns) ,then just fold despite very good odds.He will not get implieds against you.

      Hello dallievas,

You could also bet the flop bigger, ~$0.20 and likely also bet turn bigger for protection and also get value from worse. On river you could also consider just blockbetting yourself smallish, ~$0.5 and fold to a raise. Depending on his AF you can consider what to do when he minraises us, but often we are beat if he has some kind of smaller AF. So therefore I would often even consider folding.

      Best regards.
