      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

      Known players:
      BU (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is BU with K, A.
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.17, SB raises to $0.50, BB folds, Hero calls $0.33.

      Flop: ($1.05) 4, K, 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.60, SB calls $0.60.

      Turn: ($2.25) 3 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, SB calls $1.50.

      River: ($5.25) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3.64, SB calls $3.64.

      Final Pot: $12.53.

      Villain: 19/15/3.2 5% 3bet over 268 hands

Preflop : i use to steal him often in the last orbits,so i was expecting him to 3bet light(maybe i pissed him off :s_cool: ); that's why i decided to call and play IP with my strong hand.
Postflop: the board is perfect for me(only AA-3 combos and KK - 1 combo beats me) and i dominate the others, although 88 it's possible given our history; when he checks it's a clear value bet; since i don't have A :spade: , he could have Ax with FD,so i get value also from FD.The turn is a brick so i value bet again.
When he check/called me twice i was sure i had him beat when the 2nd 8 comes on the river;if he had a set or AA, i think he would raise the turn cause his OOP and i might check behind the river if he thinks that i am 2nd barreling here.
Anyways on this board I go broke with my TPTK.
What do u think about my thoughts? Should I just 4bet and ship it in preflop? When he 3betted me i decided to call to keep his weak hands in in case he has one.

      Hello dudiloiu,

Preflop: As you mentioned that he might play back on you? Then I would just it's a good spot to 4bet him and even might get money in. :) With just Calling we are giving him great odds to hit with any kind of hand.

      As played
Postflop: Yeah, I like your thoughts, they help you a lot to improve your game. I'd likely play the same way, might just prefer to bet a bit smaller on river, ~$2, with such a bet we just commit ourself if he decides to raise. But true, the another 8 made him unlikely to have a set. But it ain't wrong to bet that big if you expect to get Called by worse. By that I mean like smaller PPs.

      Best regards.
