      Full Tilt Poker $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players - View hand 1096784

      BB: $44.35
      UTG: $82.45
      MP: $73.10
      CO: $74.95
      Hero (BTN): $83.45
      SB: $40.20

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN with A :club: A
UTG raises to $1.75, 2 folds, Hero raises to $6, 1 fold, BB calls $5.50, UTG requests TIME, UTG calls $4.25

      Flop: ($18.25) 4  7  8 :diamond: (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $13.50, BB raises to $38.35 all in, UTG raises to $76.45 all in, Hero folds

No hands on the BB - cold call to me is weak given the position of the first raise.

      UTG - 140 hands 21/14 - ag freq 30% - cr flop 1/5 times previously.

Am I thinking too much in doing anything but folding here, my thoughts are that the cold call brings in more hands from UTG that wouldve otherwise folded to the 3b pre because of the pot odds. With the Ah it makes the FD look less likely, is it just too optimistic to expect to see 99-KK and lower FD's rather than sets here ? HELP !

UTG sure as hell isn't shoving KK over a cbet and a raise on this flop, if he even flats it pre (would be pretty bad).

On the other hand, he got set odds pre & you block all NFD's. So either he has 98hh, or he has a set.

      Good fold.

easy fold imo. nh. you mostly see a strong draw and a set in this situation, where you have around 8% equity so calling is suicidal.

      Hello nibbana,

Also take into consideration that you aren't only 100BB deep, you are quiet deeper, and would they really shove there with a lot worse? More often we are against a very strong hand, against we don't get that great equity. What was the conclusion?

      Best regards.

Thanks for your input Tim and falcone.

Thanks veriz, I see this now and am more assured that I made the right decision. Results as follows

BB had 7c6c for middle pair and a gutshot, UTG had KhQh for overcards and a FD which he made on the river.

At least you got 2 good notes on those guys and also somehow lucky. :) But anyway, we made most often a good fold here.
