you are lucky, the all in on the turn is ridiculous imo. 2/3 pot.

      Hi thunderbird56!

Why are you playing NL25? You just got the $50 starting capital from us, so I don't think NL25 is the correct limit. Please stick to the bankroll management! Concerning this hand: On the turn I would bet $10 to protect the hand against draws. If he pushes all-in, you have to call because you are pot committed. If you push right away normally no worse hand will call you, only better hands. That means you don't get any value from worse hands.

@ helemaalnicks: everyone makes ridiculous moves at the beginning of his poker career. So instead of insulting others some advice would have been better.

      Good luck at the tables!

      Hi Puschkin81,

Thanks for your meaningful comment! I usually have played BSS before. I admit that i was at risk when going all-in that hand. However, i don't know how to say it, but i strongly felt the river would be K. Maybe i'll move down to a smaller limit.

      Best regards,

You should definitely move down to a smaller limit if you just got your starting capital...

Raise more preflop / bet bigger or shove on the flop.

I don't think you really meant but try to choose better words and keep a friendly enviroment. I would have taken it as an insult. ;)

Your move was not only risky, it was -EV. But I believe you realize that.

Just allow me to make a comment on your "feelings". I think it's OK when you "feel" your opponent has some kind of hand (a set in this case), with some experience and observation you'll start to get some good reads. But man, it's impossible for anyone to feel what card is coming on the river! :P

And you really should move down to a lower limit unless you're planning on going broke. :D

Concerning the hand. I would have bet a little bit more PF.
I would have bet more on the flop (Around 3/4). And not so much on the turn, as Puschkin pointed out you're going to be called only by stronger hands, you'd be committed by then and would have to call any raise by SB.

Just one more thing. Don't post the results of the hand, some players may give (wrong) advices based on results. ;)

      <<Pre-flop: (6 players) thunderbird56 is UTG with K K
thunderbird56 calls, 3 folds, SB raises to $1.25,>>

RAISE preflop! You don't want everyone to call and having a flop like 8 9 Q not rainbow! You are lucky TT raised after you. Otherwise, like the others i think you should go down to another limit, this one is too huge for your bankroll.

Good luck for the following, welcome to pokerstrategy :)
