I thought a large part of his range is Qx when he calls my flop bet, so, since he's short stacked, I checked back the turn, planning to bet the river if he checks again, which he did. Good plan?

It's hard to put him on a range, he could have Ax,Kx,Qx,random conectors,he could have any2,this type of opponent is calling you with a wide range of hands,he could even have 32 a pair on that flop that he is calling,A high is calling imo.
I would bet bet bet against him.

      Hi,
I would bet/bet/b-f or c-c river if bet size is ok.I don't like a bit check on turn cos he can have some sort of straight draw and :spade: can add some equity to him. Second Q cuts some Qx combos.Your line can be but I thin bet size on the river way too big because of paired board, some draws are completed (KT),can be 2p like J9.You should be pretty sure that he can call with worst hand like 9x,Jx on such board.Value bet fish is ok,but remember that you can valuebet yourself too.
      Best regards,

I take your points chaps, but have you factored his stack size into your thinking?

limp/call is not sss play,so he is bad ss,so can have very wide range. If you wanted to put him all in do it as soon as possible,do not wait until he catch some miracle out.

      Hello jbpatzer,

Against that small stack ship it on turn, he still can Call us with a lot worse, maybe even with any kind of draw.

      Best regards.

He had QTo, so I was always going to pay him off I guess. Thanks everyone.
