      jam preflop or just a raise?

      If it was a limp + caller yes

      there is a min-raise + caller, so 2xbb x 3 + 2xbb + 1xbb (OOP) = 9xbb which is about half you stack => I would rather shove.

      NH!

      opps, I didn't see it. :f_p:

      I will raise 8.5bb then jam on Flop. I think raise has more ev than shove. :f_p:

      Hi,

      IP I would raise 8-9 bb
      OOP I would rather shove because you dont want to give villain an easy fold with a K or A on the deck.

      Hi,

      In my opinion, most of the time, the minraiser and the cold caller will fold to shove.

      Start shoving wider then :f_biggrin:

      With what range do you expect to get called if you raise to 8.5xbb instead of a shove?
      And in how many pots do you take it down with a flop jam?

      Hey SaDeOne & Co,

      Nice hand!

      Shove >>> raise/jam flop, when you're OOP. If you raise you let villain see the flop for free and let him/them put the rest of his/their money in only on the flops they like while you commit yourself to jam any flop.

      Even IP I would 100% jam preflop with 18BB vs minraise and a call. If you raise you just commit yourself too much. You could get fancy with AA which never misses the flop, but AK hits a K or an A only in about 1/3 of the flops. However, I also jam AA here just as I jam AK.

      Cheers,
