      pretty sure i have played this hand incorrectly the villian had been playing just about every ace so was not sure if i had him crushed or was dead so resorted to just calling him down

      should i have played check fold here on the turn ??

      No we can't just Check/Fold the turn, since as you mentioned he could easily be and would also playing Ax type of hand the same way, therefore I'd Bet/Fold the turn myself, ~$1,30. Otherwise as played seems to be fine. Against those small bets we can't really give it up, if they were bigger then it would be easy decision. Always when a flush or whatsoever lands, doesn't mean that the station has the hand. :) You may miss a lot value in such situations, for example he had some A with another card which is diamond, what we could protect on turn.
