What a joke - NEVER fall for the stupid $50 - you'll never get it. Even worse, they'll keep any other money you put in. I stupidly put in £25 cash to open my account before getting the $50. When I realised I'd never clear the rake I tried to get my ORIGINAL £25 back - oh no - they refuse! How on earth can a site simply refuse to give back the original still intact stake?

Just avoid WH as they are thieves.

Just for the record I got starting capital on WH last year, i deposited 20 dollars of my own money so that i could withdraw when i had cleared the necessary points and i withdrew 5x the starting capital in dollars from there when i did with no fuss.

I'm sure that you just need to do some kind of id check or maybe you are trying to withdrew some of your capital without clearing the necessary rake.

      Hi TotallyInsane,

I am sorry that you have problems on William Hill.

Please contact the live support and ask them why you are not able to get your money.

As StoneJ already wrote on most of the rooms you will need to send them their ID and I assume thats the reason why they refused the withdrawal.

      Best regards,
      Hannes

      @HannesZ

Here is the email from support

Nowhere is it asking for ID just a flat refusal

      Hi Paul,

      Thank you for your email.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this matter.

We are very sorry to inform you but you will be unable to withdraw the £25.00 on the account. As per Poker Strategy Terms and Conditions, You're able to cash out your free $50 after generating $50 of rake. Also, you will need to make a deposit of at least $20 in order to cash out your bonus and winnings after you have fulfilled the requirements.

lol. this is very clearly not a scam by WH or PS, this is you not meeting the simple requirements for clearing the bonus.

i play at wh and they rock. try asking them again, and ask for a reason.
also explain that you deposited £25 of your own money, and you would like THAT money back. they must give it to you.

After many e-mails they finally seen reason and grudgingly agreed to a refund. (or at least they tell me they have)

Back to PokerStars for me where the software is half decent.

I must be the only one that prefers willhill/ipoker software over stars, and its not even close for me.

      @ wasy8 - you are not alone.

I think stars software is terrible. I even prefered the old Pacific Poker. I play WH now and have no issues with the software.
