      Hi,

      I cbet and get called by villain. I thought Villain called the cbet on Flop with FD or PPs but I thought it is more likely he has FD on Flop because I thought he may raise the cbet with PPs to protect his hand against FD. On the turn, I thought I was ahead because I thought he had FD and I dont want to give him free card. So, I second barrel for protection but unfortunately he call with with FD and hit the River! :f_cry: Any advise is appreciated.

      Thanks

      I would have checked behind on the flop. What would you do if you are checked raised? has played on the flop you have to barrel the turn, so well played after that.

      IMO, against unknown, cb flop and reevaluate turn.

      Errr, arent you contradicting in your post?

      Villain is still unknown with 20 hands.

      IP I would check behind and reevaluate turn. You cant bet for value and he wouldnt fold much as well.
      OOP I would cbet/fold and reevaluate turn.

      After this hand => note, I would cbet flop and double barrel.

      no contracticting:
      cb = check behind
      cbet = continuation bet.

      I agree with your IP/OOP and note contribution :)

      If you bet against this opponent , bet $1 flop and shove Turn due leverage in stack sizes

      Or you can check back and go to showdown cheaply with Ahi

      The last community card is ''River'' not ''Rival'' which means I get confused sometimes as Rival=Villain in some dictionaries

      Best regards,
      Gerv

      Hi,

      I have a few questions. Why bet $1 instead of 2/3 pot size? If you check behind and the Turn is blank and the Villain bets on the Turn, how do you react with it?

      Thanks

      I anticipate he doesn't bet Turn , look at his stats before you reply please

      Flopsize is because of leverage: you still have significant chips to left to be still dangerous on the Turn (= let him fold)
