Am I wrong to 3b this pre? Assume to be ahead of standard bu o/range.

On the flop, once he calls the 3b so short, I think its either shove or ch/f.
Dont think i get called by worse shoving but sucks to ch/f with psz left...

Vs shortstacker like this (35bb and less) I just shove preflop with AQ+/88+ =)

It makes your life soooo much easier and you WILL get called by a lot worse.

If we are in BB, I think thats optimal. In SB Im not certain we can 3b 30bb given full stacked player to act, but maybe Im too cautious.

shove pf 30bb with AQ+/88 is fine, but you sometimes also want to 3b them with wider range and QQ+ you generally also want to make smaller that they would call with worse hands
About shoving or c/f flop is if he would ever call shove 66/88 if you shove flop and second question does he take stab with worse hands if you check to him.
I would generally tend to stack off so I think letting him bet and then c/rai flop or turn seems fine unless A comes. This way you gain more money from worse hands and if you check it threw you have showdown value
