Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.25/$0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (7 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9, A.
2 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, CO folds, BU calls $1.50, 2 folds, BB folds.

      Flop: ($3.75) 6, 8, 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.35, BU calls $2.35.

      Turn: ($8.45) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $5.50, BU calls $5.50.

      River: ($19.45) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $11.00, BU calls $11.00.

      Final Pot: $41.45.

      Results follow:

Hero shows a pair of eights(9c Ac).
BU shows two pairs, eights and sixs(5h 6h).

BU wins with two pairs, eights and sixs(5h 6h).

Villain is 18/15/2.4 with 29% wts. 500 hands at the time.

I rarely go for a 3barrel bluff with no equity but in this case I think that the board developed beautifully for it. All draws more or less busted and a paired river also isn`t bad if he by any chance has some two pair type of hand.

I posted the result cuz I am really confused about this player. He seems to be a winning player on 200 and 400 lost on 100 and now is playing 50??? What should I make of his call, regarding that we have almost no history and that by calling he only beats pure bluffs on river?

5d is not the best card to barrel him, since now he has there a lot of pair+draw hands and you have to fire river barrel to make him fold his one pair hands
About his river call. In his eyes you´re not valuebetting river better than 8x+ hand, but rather would c/c your overpairs, so that leaves very few valuebetitng range and huge missed draws+bluffs and getting that price I think call in his shoes is fine.
I´m also not sure your river bet. Since it is usually the card that players are betting he may turn his missed draws into bluff and shove river or make thin calldowns, so c/f probably is better play.
